Family Dogs
Family dogs are trained with lots and lots of play, petting, and contact with children, people, and other dogs, as this is the only way to get a completely socialized dog and a friend for the entire family. These dogs must go through basic obedience training, followed by loose leash walking, recall, etc. It should not be forgotten that these dogs expect permanent dedication, plenty of play, and walks from their owner, as they need to expend their excess energy somewhere.
Service Dogs
The training of service dogs begins from a young puppy and lasts throughout the working life of the dog, although official training lasts from 6 to 9 months. For the training of service dogs, we engage professionals because such dogs must undergo a rigorous and thorough examination before training (health, physical, mental), and then the expert team decides for which discipline the dog is suitable (whether for attack and defense, catching a fugitive, or detecting explosives, weapons, drugs, etc.). After training, there is an exam in front of an expert committee. The main characteristics of these dogs are: Character Bravery Sense of Smell Maximum Obedience As mentioned earlier, after our training for service dogs, they go for further training by state institutions, and only after their final training do they receive the status of a service dog. Such training is extremely demanding, such as searching for explosives. The action of searching for explosives is very delicate because the dog must not bark, scratch, or bite; in case of suspicion, it must passively mark the suspicious place by sitting and waiting for its reward. Agreement with the institution that takes them over is mandatory for this type of training.
Competition Dogs
Training dogs for competitions is the biggest challenge for dog trainers because it is the ultimate proof of the success of training, both for the dog and the trainer. Strict canine judges at competitions do not overlook the smallest detail or mistake made by either the dog or the trainer. At such competitions, it is expected that the dog will demonstrate the maximum knowledge and obedience and perform all exercises flawlessly. The audience is often left breathless when a perfectly trained dog demonstrates its skills through: Walking at the owner's side with its head held high without a leash and turns at the owner's side left/right Walking between the owner's legs forward and backward Zigzag walking through the owner's legs Retrieving various objects (fetching) Searching for markers and various other exercises that exist in these competitions. Due to the complexity of training, such dogs often have a high price, which is understandable given the effort, time, and knowledge required to train them to almost perfection.
Property Guarding Dogs
Property guarding dogs should be fearless dogs ready to give their lives to protect their owner and property. If we want a perfect guard dog, the emphasis in training is on increasing the dog's aggressiveness, attack and defense, and, of course, not taking food from strangers. These dogs are used exclusively for guarding properties and estates and should not be taken for walks in the city or allowed to play in an urban environment, as they can be extremely dangerous to other people.
Truffle Detection Dogs
Although essentially any dog can be trained to detect truffles, only one breed is officially recognized as a truffle dog, and that is the Lagotto Romagnolo breed. In addition to basic obedience training, these dogs are trained with special exercises to find truffles as quickly as possible. When they dig and find a truffle, the command 'STOP' is issued so that the dog does not damage the truffle with its claws. The training of these dogs, through exercises with truffle oil, is characterized by sharpening the sense of smell and concentration on the truffle scent throughout the training. When trained, these dogs often have a high price, but they usually pay for themselves quickly because they are mostly used by experienced truffle hunters who sell the found truffles at a good price.
Dog Socialization
It is important to note that dog socialization is an integral part of every training, and we will not specifically mention its details because they will become evident through the other training types listed. However, it is important to emphasize that dog socialization is an essential part of every training.
